Job Title: Server Systems Engineer Alaska-TS/SCI with Poly Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * **The Opportunity:** We are seeking a highly skilled Server Systems Engineer to work on-site at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska. **Responsibilities:** + Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems + Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software + Provide technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures + Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues + Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software + Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages + Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels + Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions + Ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations + Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines + Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users + May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies + May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals **Required Skills:** + TS/SCI with Poly clearance + HS or GED and 19 Year(s) Experience or Bachelors and 14 Year(s) Experience + Systems AdministrationSystems Architecture + Need one of the following certifications: + CCNA-SecurityCySA+CNDSecuri
