Employer: NANA Regional Corporation. **Job Description** The Pantry Cook position is responsible for preparing food for patients, cooks, cafeteria, and hospital staff. Cleaning work areas as related to the preparation and serving of food. _This is a part-time position, 10:30am - 7:00pm, supporting food service production at the Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) in Anchorage, AK._ **Responsibilities** + Prepares food as indicated by par level sheets and in accordance with both Nutritional Services and Health Department standards. + Follows standardized recipes to meet nutritional needs. + Follows preparation sheets and build cards or recipes + Follows all portion control standards + Preparing cold food items such as salads, cut fruit, sandwiches and cold deserts. + Prepare patient snacks according menu cycle. + Works patient tray line to plate food for delivery to units. + Setup and breakdown of patient tray line and steam tables. + Follows dietary restrictions and patient menu selection when serving. + Responsible for FIFO during meal prep. + May operate steam tables, dish machine, trash carts, and knives. + May assist with serving patients in the cafeteria. + Adheres to all sanitation regulations set by Federal, State, and local municipalities. + This position is not responsible for the supervision of staff. + Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned. **Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED equivalent. + Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire. + Must have at least six (6) months of food service experience. + Must be able to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner. + Must be able to abide by NMS and HACCP standards. + Must pass a fingerprinting background investigation that complies with The Crime Control Act, Child Care Worker Act and the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act. + Contract requires employees to speak, unders
